Revisions and repairs

Revisions at regular intervals are mandatory for certain units requiring monitoring, e.g. for ATEX fans after 3 years.

In the case of gas-tight ATEX fans, work on the fan casing or the impeller has an effect on explosion protection. Before recommissioning, the revised unit must, therefore, be inspected by an approved monitoring body, a person approved by the authorities for this purpose or the manufacturer (Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) Section 14.6).

Work on gas-tight ATEX fans should, therefore, only be carried out by the manufacturer’s service department.
This ensures that all prescribed tests (overspeed test, leak test, gap test …) are carried out professionally and can be evidenced.
Work that does not directly affect explosion protection (e.g. changing belts or a motor that is not directly attached to the impeller) must at least be checked by a qualified person.

Replacement units are available at short notice for biogas fans.

Other units should also be overhauled before the calculated bearing life of the drive is reached in order to reduce the risk of any unplanned failures. Of course, the impeller is also professionally rebalanced. With a revision by the manufacturer, you can be sure that original spare parts are used and professionally installed.
