Aggressive media

Fans for aggressive or abrasive media – strong acids or bases in the medium conveyed may quickly damage the fan if the material used is unsuitable.

Meidinger has extensive experience in conveying aggressive gases and vapours. We select suitable materials for the casing, impeller and welding materials, and we take into account the required strength values to determine and realise a both durable and safe combination. (High-alloy steel grades, titanium, corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys …)

Where metallic materials are no longer sufficient, we use highly resistant coatings (e.g. Halar) or manufacture the casing special resistant plastic.

We also select the static and dynamic casing seals according to the high resistance or sealing requirements.
