Casing insulation as sound and/or heat insulation

Temperature

In the case of hot (>70°C) or very cold (< -20°C) media, casing insulation is available to prevent energy loss or as protection against contact for safety reasons. This measure is often supplemented by the use of shaft material with low thermal conductivity and the use of a thermal barrier.

Sound

Sound enclosures are available for further sound insulation.
