Silencers

Can be used on the suction or pressure side of the fan to attenuate the sound emission in the delivery duct.

Designs

In general, we distinguish between

  • Circular silencers with and without core.
    Advantage: compact design, pressure-stable.
  • Splitter silencer
    Advantage: high insertion loss, low pressure loss, easy to clean
  • Special designs for confined spaces

Fan design

With the fan design, the sound emission in the duct can be estimated for the respective operating point. The required silencers are designed on the basis of these values.
